Once you have your shop set up on Just Artisan, it is time to begin listing products. To list an item on Just Artisan visit Store Manager > Products > Add New.
There are 2 types of products to choose from:
Simple: The vast majority of products are simple products. A simple product is an item that is sold as-is without any options, or variations. For example, a piece of artwork.
Variable: A product with variations, each of which may have a different SKU, price, stock option, etc. For example, a t-shirt available in different colors and/or sizes.
Add a Simple Product
By default, the “simple” product type is selected. If the item you are selling is a downloadable product, be sure to select the “downloadable” checkbox.
Title: The title of the product.
Price: The price of the product in the currency of your choosing.
Sale Price: Item’s discounted price that can then be scheduled for certain date ranges. The sale expires at 11:59pm of the specified end date.
Category: Product category that best matches the item.
Tags: A comma separated list of tags that accurately describe your product. Tags are used by our search engine to determine product relevance.
Short Description: One or two sentences about your product to pique a customer’s interest.
Long Description: Long form description of your product. Be sure to include all relevant information that a customer would like to know before making a purchase.

Optional Product Settings
The following options are optional, but highly recommended. The tools below can help keep track of inventory, accurately calculate shipping costs, add personalization options, and much more:
The inventory section allows you to manage stock for the product individually and define whether to allow back orders and whether you want to limit sales to one per customer.
The shipping section is used to calculate shipping costs at checkout. If you are using “Weight Based Shipping” you must assign the shipping weight, and if you are using “Zone Based Shipping” you can select a shipping class or leave it as the default class.
Per-Product Shipping: Allows you to override your set shipping costs for products, based on customer location.
Using up-sells and cross-sells, you can cross promote the other products in your shop. They can be added by searching for a particular product and selecting the product from the dropdown list. It is recommended to choose complimentary items to cross-sell for the best results. For example, cross-selling earrings with a matching necklace.
Adding SEO can help your product be found by external search engines such as Google or Safari. You can add a focus keyword and short meta description that can be indexed and used to display your product page.
Add-ons gives you the ability to add extra options to your product without the need for creating variations. In the example above we have created an add-on that gives customers the option to add personalized text to the item. In addition, it gives you the ability to add a price for each add-on.
Your store product policies will be displayed by default, however, using this setting will override the default policies.
The process for adding variable products is the same, except there is the addition of the variations tab. In order to set your variations you must add product attributes and check the box “Use for variations”.
When you add an attribute group you can choose from our pre-built options or create your own by clicking “Add Attribute”, and use “Add New” to add your own attribute values.
Now that you have added product attributes, you can create variations on the variations tab. You can create them individually, or use “Create variations from all attributes” to create every possible variation. Once you have created your variations you are given many options to customize the details of each variation. The only mandatory field is the “Price”, and the other settings will take the product defaults unless changed.
Now that you have created your product listing, it is time to add it to the Just Artisan Marketplace. Click the “Submit” button on the bottom right of the screen, or “Draft” in order to save it for editing later.
Once you’ve hit submit, your listing is live and available for customers to view and purchase. Please note that your product might not display immediately in search as it can take up to 24 hours to be indexed.
